Who runs Allied

Allied Accounting and Tax Services is run by Mark Anthony Mariou and Spyros Panayiotis Spyrou. The firm has been on the Companies House register since 2005 (company number 05556369) and is reactivating now after a dormant period. The brief is the same as the sister firm S.P. Spyrou & Co next door: do the tax, accounting and probate work for owners, families and trustees who want a real conversation with an experienced accountant, not a portal and a ticket number.

You deal with us directly. No account managers handing your file down a chain. That is faster, it is cheaper, and it means whoever answers the phone has read the file.

How we work

First conversation is free. If we can help, we say so and quote a fee. If we cannot, we say that too and usually point you somewhere that can. We prefer fixed fees where the scope is known, hourly only where it is genuinely not.

We are not chasing scale. The aim is a small number of clients we look after properly, year after year. That is a deliberate choice and it shapes the answer if you ever ask whether we are taking on new work.

An honest caveat

A small firm is not the right home for everyone. If you need a statutory audit, a 24-hour international tax desk, or a team of twenty on a transaction, you want a larger practice. For owner-managed businesses, families planning ahead, and executors dealing with a single estate, smaller usually wins on price and on attention.
